Sportaye is a sports management platform built to simplify how teams, players, and organizers connect, manage tournaments, and track performance. The goal was to make organizing and joining sports activities effortless through a clean, intuitive digital experience. At Eleven Studios, we partnered with Sportaye to define their complete product flow and design a user experience that makes every action, from joining a team to managing matches, seamless and engaging.
Our Approach
We began by understanding the user ecosystem: team captains, players, and organizers. Our approach focused on reducing friction and confusion in team management, ensuring that users could navigate between creating, joining, and managing teams effortlessly. By simplifying interactions and restructuring the app’s hierarchy, we built an experience that feels natural and dynamic for all types of users.
Vision and Innovation
Our vision was to create an interface that feels as exciting as the sport itself while maintaining usability and clarity. The innovation lay in rethinking traditional onboarding and invite systems, transforming them into quick, intuitive, and fail-safe flows. We introduced fluid motion, clear states, and contextual feedback to make Sportaye’s digital experience reflect the energy and collaboration of real-world sports.
Identifying Unique Challenges
The biggest challenge was managing complex team interactions — particularly how captains invite players, and how players accept and join without spam or confusion. We noticed existing apps often overloaded users with redundant steps or unclear confirmation states. Our task was to make this process frictionless and secure.
Resolving Complex Problems
We redesigned the invite and onboarding system to eliminate unnecessary steps. Captains could now invite players via unique links, while players received guided, one-tap join flows. Every modal, confirmation, and status update was built to communicate clarity. We also refined the overall navigation so users could easily shift between team, match, and performance views without getting lost.
User-Centric Design
The platform’s structure was redesigned around real user needs. We conducted flow mapping sessions to visualize every possible journey and identified points of hesitation. Through iteration and testing, we refined these into smooth, predictable paths. The result was a consistent UX pattern across all roles, maintaining simplicity without limiting functionality.
Meeting User Needs
For captains, Sportaye simplifies team management through intuitive creation and invite flows. For players, it ensures smooth onboarding and easy access to matches and stats. Organizers benefit from structured, error-free systems that handle coordination and communication seamlessly. Each experience was designed to feel personal yet scalable.
